Changing the way you work underwater.
Using the stabilization of all six legs, the Tool Delivery Crab will deliver various toolheads to do precise work underwater. Applications include biofouling removal using abrading tools (water, sand, cavitation), non-destructive testing, and cutting using exothermic burning rods (in development; Funded by the National Science Foundation).
Born from the mechanical engineering labs at Case Western Reserve University, CrabLine Robotics is developing specialized, dexterous underwater robotics for industry and military applications. The technologies developed by CrabLine Robotics increase the ability for offshore industries to execute precise work in wet and unsafe environments.
What if commercial divers had a third hand?
The Ordnance Retrieval Crab has been designed to navigate wave zones to identify and secure unexploded ordnance where sonar will not work. (in development).
The Asset Recovery Crab will dive to 500 feet, crawl to secure a position around an asset, and grasp the asset for removal to the surface using a reinforced tether (in development).
